  • FREE Paper Jam: Head to Garfield Park in Indianapolis on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 1:00 PM through 4:00PM to create and fly FREE paper airplanes, make FREE plantable paper, make paper instruments, and study the art of paper folding at the FREE Paper Jam event.   There will be live music and more!
  • Indianapolis 500 Centennial Era Balloon Festival: On Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 6:00 PM through 10:00 PM, visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the FREE Indianapolis 500 Centennial Era Balloon Festival.   Your family can enjoy FREE live music, a hot-air balloon glow, and fireworks!

  • Discount Tickets for Lucas Oil Raceway Thursday Night Thunder: Check out the USAC Spring Car Series at Lucas Oil Raceway, Thursday Night Thunder.   They have announced fan-friendly admission tickets at $15 per adult and children 12 and under are FREE with a paid adult!   You can check out Thursday Night Thunder on   May 12, June 16, July 7, August 18, September 18, or October 13.   (Thanks Average Parent!)
  • FREE Radio Disney Family Fun Day: Are you a Disney fan?   On June 18, 2011 from 12 PM – 4 PM in White River State Park Radio Disney is hosting a FREE Radio Disney Family Day!   Meet Disney characters, enjoy live entertainment on two stages, and much, much more!
  • Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day: On May 15, 2011 on   Monument Circle from 12 PM until 4 PM the entire family can celebrate the Indianapolis 500 Festival at the FREE Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day.   See Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates and see them perform, plus enjoy games, prizes, and so much more at this FREE Kids Festival.

  • Race for the Cure: It’s Race for the Cure Weekend, which means downtown will be crazy!   Many places are offering discounts downtown for race participants, so make sure you check them out to save on breakfast before and lunch after the race, or some other treat for yourself and friends!
  • FREE Romanesque Revival Landmark Open House: Enjoy family activities, music, and more at the FREE Romanesque Revival Open House, plus FREE admission to Morris-Buttler House next door.   Check it out on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
  • FREE Indianapolis Museum of Art Admission: Okay, I’m a bit embarrassed to admit this, but   I didn’t realize that admission to the Indianapolis Art Museum is always FREE, except for special exhibitions.   Is thi new or was I just living in my own world and totally oblivious?!?   Plus, admission is also FREE at Lilly ouse the gardens and grounds,   and The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park.
  • Call-A-Pacer: FREE Storytime Read by a Pacer: Check out the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library or a schedule of Call-a-Pacer FREE storytimes.   Then, simply call 275-4444 to hear the current story.   Right now, you can enjoy Bubba and Beau Best Friends by Gile Andreae and read by Darren Collision.   Starting April 18, check out I am Not Going to Get up Today! by Dr. Suess and read by Josh McRoberts.
  • FREE Pottery Workshop for Kids: The Indianapolis Central Library is hosting a FREE Pottery Workshop for Kids tomorrow, April 16 at 1:00 PM.   The event is designed for children 6-14.   Each child will get to take home a raw clay pot.   Call to register : 274:4100!   This event will also be hosted at other branches through June 23.   You may want to check to see if one is closer to you!

  • FREE Children’s Museum Admission: Mark your calendars for May 1st!   In celebration of Day of the Chidlren, The Children’s Museum is offering FREE admission to everyone.   Have fun and thanks, Jane!
  • Carmel $1 Easter Egg Hunt: On Saturday, April 16, children can join in at the annual West Park Easter Egg Hunt.     Bring a basket or bag.   Event designed for children 0-11 years old.   It will start promptly at 10:30 AM!   The cost is $1 per child.   There is also a FREE community-wide hunt on April 23 at 2:30 PM.
  • Noblesville FREE Easter Egg Hunt: Visit the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds on April 13 at 6 PM promptly.   Children under 8 years of age are welcome to participate in a FREE Easter Egg Hunt!   Bring a bag or basket of your own.   Also enjoy face painting, meet a lama, and more!

  • Kellie Pickler Concert: This weekend visit the Indiana Convention Center on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 5:30 PM for a FREE Kelly Pickler Concert.   Get there early to see Casey Jamerson at 4:30 PM.

  • FREE Vouching Presents: Saturday at 7:00 PM you can check out the FREE Vouched Presents Reading Event at the Big Car Gallery downtown.   Admission is FREE, but donations will be accepted for Second Story, an organization that offers writing workshops for children.   You’ll be presented works by new writers from small and/or independent publishers and organizations.
  • FREE Circus Day: Enjoy the history of the Indiana circus by checking out the FREE Hampel Family Circus, live animals, clowns, magic show, jugglers, carnival games, face painting, balloon sculptures and more.   The event takes place at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center on Saturday and admission is FREE, though there is a small fee for refreshments and/or games, if desired.
  • FREE NCAA Tourney Town: Visit the Indiana Convention Center on April 2 at 5:30 PM to enjoy the 2011 Women’s   NCAA Tourney Town a performance by Kellie Pickler and check out NCAA Final Four basketball exhibits, concerts, contests, giveaways, food, and more.   Admission is FREE for everyone.
