Meijer sales may start on Sunday or Thursday, depending on your store.   The Meijer Deals & Coupon Matchups on In Good Cents are for the Central Indiana area. Prices may vary by location, but are often similar. Price differences typically include product and/or soda prices.

Meijer often has 10 for $10 sales and 10 for $10, 11th item FREE sales. Right now meijer has suave products buy3 get 1 free. I printed 2 coupons for $3 off the purchase of any 2 suave 24 hour deodorants. The doedorants were $1.89 each. I bought 4 deodorants got one free then used 2 $3 dollar coupons . So before tax they were free plus i made .33

I have a complaint about this weeks sale on Meijer FRESCH Grade Abone-In-Split Chicken Breasts. Bought a family size package for soup. When opened, it did not seem as they were fresh, more likly frozen and thawed. The chicken was tough after cooking and the broth did not taste like from fresh chicken, wich I do cook often.
It was a disappointment. Do not know where else to complain about it, since I through out the wrapper.

You can complain to me if you want, LOL :) Not sure I can help you much, since I’m not affiliated with Meijer, but I can be sympathetic. Sorry about your experience! They’ve always been great when I’ve bought them, but I’ve found some sketchy things at almost every store at sometime in my life. One national store near me always had expired food on the shelves. Gross.

i recently tried to use 2 coupons for a bogo sale, and they would not accept the 2nd coupon because the 2nd item was free.

5 Beth January 31, 2011 at 4:14 PM

Tarah, this is one of those touchy areas. Many managers and store locations just don’t understand how coupons work. Sometimes if you call headquarters, they’ll help you out. I use two coupons on BOGO sales all the time at my local Meijer without a single issues. It is allowed, since they are reimbursed on it.

I usually get them telling me about them on the catalina coupons, yet insnt there a list of all these kind of deals??? thanks

You’re welcome!

9 brandi September 20, 2011 at 12:55 PM

can i combine my paper coupons with mperks? if so, will my paper coupons still double? for example:
product is $
mperks coupon .50
manufacture coupon .50

would product total be .50 or would it be free?
thanks so much!

10 Beth September 20, 2011 at 1:09 PM

Yes, you can use a manufacturer paper coupon with a Meijer store MPerks coupon and your manufacturer coupon will still double. On that scenario, it would be free with just the manufacturer coupon, so you can save the MPerks coupon. Meijer will not give overage.

11 Jennifer September 29, 2011 at 2:13 AM

The Meijer in my area will not accept a coupon for an item that they state is b1g1 or the 10/$10 get 11th free- i cant use a coupon for the 11th item. I wonder why that is. It is not stated in their coupon policy anywhere or did I miss it somewhere?

12 Beth September 29, 2011 at 12:46 PM

Jennifer, rules like this tend to vary by location right now. Only a very few stores have laid down a nationwide policy and Meijer is not one of them. However, if you call Meijer headquarters, they’ll often explain that you can use a coupon on the free item and set your store straight. I haven’t called them in a while, so it may have changed, but it’s not addressed in their coupon policy yet.

13 Stacey December 22, 2011 at 12:07 PM

I don’t know if this falls under the Competitor Coupon Policy” above or not. Will Meijer accept manufacturer coupons that have printed out at the register at another store (have that store’s logo on them)? I guess the question is really, are they supposed to accept them per their corporate policy? It seems like they should since it’s a manufacturer coupon, but I’ve had some cashiers reject them before. And in the policy above just Gen. Merch. and HBC items are mentioned. So grocery items aren’t included in this policy?

14 Beth December 23, 2011 at 4:46 AM

Grocery item aren’t included in this, correct. And, as for Catalina manufacturer coupons, the official policy from Catalina is that it’s up to the store. Many stores don’t accept them, because they don’t understand and many don’t scan at other stores. They are 100% within their right to refuse them though. However this line: We will honor a competitor’s coupons and/or ads if the coupon or ad shows the competitor’s price point for the sale item. means that they will only accept competitor coupons that have the price on them, so Walgreen’s in-ad coupons that say $0.99 for Bic Pens (10 ct.). They won’t accept competitor coupons that say $1/1 unless it says the price after the coupon somewhere. Hope that helps.

15 Stacey December 22, 2011 at 12:11 PM

I had another question also, about the mPerks program. I have a phone where I can receive text messages, but don’t currently have a data plan, so I don’t like to receive too many of them for cost reasons. Can I still use the mPerks program? Do you receive several text messages with it, or is it mostly just getting the activation code and an occasional promotional text? I know you have to enter your mobile number at checkout.

16 Beth December 23, 2011 at 4:47 AM

Stacey, they text you every time they add new coupons, so I get about one a week, sometimes more if they are having specials, like around the holidays.

17 Beth December 23, 2011 at 4:48 AM

You can probably turn off these notifications. I haven’t looked into it, but since they aren’t necessary to use the program, I bet you can.

Do you happen to know if either the noblesville or 96th street meijer round $0.51 and up coupons to $1?

19 Donald Nice September 25, 2013 at 2:08 PM

I no longer want to receive Meijer emails. Please stopo sending them to my email account.

20 Beth Montgomery September 26, 2013 at 12:27 PM

Donald, at the bottom of each email is an unsubscribe link. Simply click that to unsubscribe from any emails you are currently receiving.

21 Donald Nice September 26, 2013 at 1:06 PM

cannot find the unsubscribe section you told me about stopo sending emails

22 Beth Montgomery September 27, 2013 at 12:24 PM

Donald, I’ve gone through all of my email lists and confirmed, assuming you commented with the email address you are receiving the emails, that you are not on any of my lists. If you are trying to unsubscribe from Meijer’s newsletter, please keep in mind that In Good Cents is not associated with Meijer in anyway and, unfortunately, I will not be able to help you. You’ll have to contact Meijer directly with the issue. In Good Cents is a website that finds and shares deals at multiple Midwest-area grocery stores, including Meijer, Kroger, and Marsh.

23 Doctor of Savings November 9, 2013 at 9:41 AM

Hello Beth,
I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. Even though Meijer stopped doubling MQ’s, I still do most my grocery shopping there. Do you know what Meijer’s NATIONAL policy is regarding competitors’ “store” coupons. About six months ago, I tried to use a Target “store” coupon (downloaded from the Target website). Both the Meijer staff AND the store general manager told me that they do NOT have to honor a competitor’s “store” coupon, even though there is a Target store right next to my Meijer store. The manager said that each local store manager makes a decision on what coupons his store will or WILL NOT accept. Thanks for your time!

24 Beth Montgomery November 13, 2013 at 3:41 PM

Meijer’s National store coupon policy is online now at, so you can print it and take it in with you. In reference to competitor coupons, you’ll find this:

  • Meijer, Catalina Meijer, and competitor coupons require the customer to pay sales tax only on the discounted item price.
  • Meijer will accept competitor coupons from Food Retailers or Mass Merchandise Retailers.
  • Meijer defines Mass Merchandise Retailers as a retail store offering both food and general merchandise/apparel under one roof. Coupons from Club Stores and Dollar Stores will not be accepted.
  • Meijer does not accept competitor coupons for beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes, double or triple coupons, clearance, percent off, total transaction discounts, special promotions, gift card promotions, limited quantity items, mail-in rebate offers, and going out of business sales.

They should accept the Target coupon, as long as it does not fit within their excluded coupons listed above.

25 Beth January 31, 2011 at 4:11 PM

Maria, I missed this comment somehow, but I’d call headquarters. I use a coupon on my 11th item all the time. They get reimbursed for it from the manufacturer. It is one of those things that many managers don’t understand, but it is allowed.
