Meijer Catalina Coupon Policy
Meijer accepts Catalina Coupons with other store logos if they meet their policy for Competitor coupons, regardless of if the coupon is labeled a store or manufacturer coupon.
Catalina coupons are often referred to as Custom Coupons and are printed on the Catalina checkout coupon printer. They have a coupon value, the terms of qualifications for redemption, expiration date, and UPC bar code. In the upper left-hand corner of the Catalina Meijer coupon, the words “store coupon” will be printed. Catalina Meijer coupons must have the Meijer logo to be redeemed under normal redemption policies at Meijer. If a Catalina Coupon bears the logo of another retailer, we can accept it following our competitor coupon policies.

Meijer does accept competitor coupons with limitations.

Q: Why are the prices at my Meijer different from those listed on your site?
A: Meijer sale prices are typically nationwide with a few exclusions, like soda and produce. Regular prices vary regionally and sometimes even from store-to-store within the same area. Generally prices are reasonably close, but some may vary greatly.
Q: Does Meijer offer rain checks? How do they work?
A: Meijer does offer rain checks on out-of-stock items at customer service. However, if you have a coupon that will expire before Meijer restocks and they are out of stock of that particular item, Meijer will not issue a rain check at the coupon discounted rate for that item.

Right now meijer has suave products buy3 get 1 free. I printed 2 coupons for $3 off the purchase of any 2 suave 24 hour deodorants. The doedorants were $1.89 each. I bought 4 deodorants got one free then used 2 $3 dollar coupons . So before tax they were free plus i made .33
I have a complaint about this weeks sale on Meijer FRESCH Grade Abone-In-Split Chicken Breasts. Bought a family size package for soup. When opened, it did not seem as they were fresh, more likly frozen and thawed. The chicken was tough after cooking and the broth did not taste like from fresh chicken, wich I do cook often.
It was a disappointment. Do not know where else to complain about it, since I through out the wrapper.
You can complain to me if you want, LOL :) Not sure I can help you much, since I’m not affiliated with Meijer, but I can be sympathetic. Sorry about your experience! They’ve always been great when I’ve bought them, but I’ve found some sketchy things at almost every store at sometime in my life. One national store near me always had expired food on the shelves. Gross.
i recently tried to use 2 coupons for a bogo sale, and they would not accept the 2nd coupon because the 2nd item was free.
Tarah, this is one of those touchy areas. Many managers and store locations just don’t understand how coupons work. Sometimes if you call headquarters, they’ll help you out. I use two coupons on BOGO sales all the time at my local Meijer without a single issues. It is allowed, since they are reimbursed on it.
where can you find out for example like buy 4 kraft cheeses and get $3 off next purchase or buy 5 or more get $4 off next purchase and other deals that meijer has like this? I usually get them telling me about them on the catalina coupons, yet insnt there a list of all these kind of deals??? thanks
Thanks for the great policy outline!
You’re welcome!
can i combine my paper coupons with mperks? if so, will my paper coupons still double? for example:
product is $1.so
mperks coupon .50
manufacture coupon .50
would product total be .50 or would it be free?
thanks so much!
Yes, you can use a manufacturer paper coupon with a Meijer store MPerks coupon and your manufacturer coupon will still double. On that scenario, it would be free with just the manufacturer coupon, so you can save the MPerks coupon. Meijer will not give overage.
The Meijer in my area will not accept a coupon for an item that they state is b1g1 or the 10/$10 get 11th free- i cant use a coupon for the 11th item. I wonder why that is. It is not stated in their coupon policy anywhere or did I miss it somewhere?
Jennifer, rules like this tend to vary by location right now. Only a very few stores have laid down a nationwide policy and Meijer is not one of them. However, if you call Meijer headquarters, they’ll often explain that you can use a coupon on the free item and set your store straight. I haven’t called them in a while, so it may have changed, but it’s not addressed in their coupon policy yet.
I don’t know if this falls under the Competitor Coupon Policy” above or not. Will Meijer accept manufacturer coupons that have printed out at the register at another store (have that store’s logo on them)? I guess the question is really, are they supposed to accept them per their corporate policy? It seems like they should since it’s a manufacturer coupon, but I’ve had some cashiers reject them before. And in the policy above just Gen. Merch. and HBC items are mentioned. So grocery items aren’t included in this policy?
Grocery item aren’t included in this, correct. And, as for Catalina manufacturer coupons, the official policy from Catalina is that it’s up to the store. Many stores don’t accept them, because they don’t understand and many don’t scan at other stores. They are 100% within their right to refuse them though. However this line: We will honor a competitor’s coupons and/or ads if the coupon or ad shows the competitor’s price point for the sale item. means that they will only accept competitor coupons that have the price on them, so Walgreen’s in-ad coupons that say $0.99 for Bic Pens (10 ct.). They won’t accept competitor coupons that say $1/1 unless it says the price after the coupon somewhere. Hope that helps.
I had another question also, about the mPerks program. I have a phone where I can receive text messages, but don’t currently have a data plan, so I don’t like to receive too many of them for cost reasons. Can I still use the mPerks program? Do you receive several text messages with it, or is it mostly just getting the activation code and an occasional promotional text? I know you have to enter your mobile number at checkout.
Stacey, they text you every time they add new coupons, so I get about one a week, sometimes more if they are having specials, like around the holidays.
You can probably turn off these notifications. I haven’t looked into it, but since they aren’t necessary to use the program, I bet you can.
Maria, I missed this comment somehow, but I’d call headquarters. I use a coupon on my 11th item all the time. They get reimbursed for it from the manufacturer. It is one of those things that many managers don’t understand, but it is allowed.
