Marsh Coupon Policy & Frequently Asked Questions

Because Marsh is a smaller grocery store chain, at time prices can seem higher.  However, Marsh is excellent about offering discounts, coupons, and savings to help you maximize your savings.

The trick to saving money at any store is to understand the store’s policies and take advantage of all the various savings promotions they offer.  Marsh is no different.  If you walk into Marsh and throw items in your cart, you won’t save much, if anything.  The key is to use your coupons on sale items, or better yet Mega Sale items, to maximize your savings.

In addition to the information below, read 13 Tips to Save at Marsh.

Marsh Resources

Marsh Sales

Marsh sales start on Thursday and run through Wednesday.  The Marsh Deals & Coupon Matchups on In Good Cents are for the Central Indiana area. Prices may vary by location, but are often similar.

Marsh often has great sales such as Sale Events where you’ll instantly save money if you purchase a certain amount of participating products. For example, if your Marsh has a $5 Sale Event when you purchase 10 participating items, your receipt may look like this:

General Mills Chex Cereal $1.99
General Mills Chex Cereal $1.99
General Mills Chex Cereal $1.99
General Mills Chex Cereal $1.99
General Mills Chex Cereal $1.99
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks $1.49
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks $1.49
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks $1.49
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks $1.49
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks $1.49
Promotion $5 Off -$5

Balance $12.49

It’s like getting $0.50 off each item during the Sale Event. If you purchased an 11th item, you would not get $0.50 off that item. Items must be purchased in increments of 10 in this scenario to receive your instant savings.

Marsh also has 10 for $10 sales. For these sales, each item will ring up as $1. You DO NOT have to purchase 10 items to get each item for $1. Along the same lines, Marsh buy one, get one sales do not ring up as one product at full price and one product free. Instead, each item rings up as 50% off, so you DO NOT have to purchase two to receive the savings.

It depends on how it’s written in the ad. If it says 10/$10, then you can purchase 1 or 100 and they’ll each be $1. However, sometimes both Kroger and Marsh do deals in which they’ll say “must buy 2″ or “only when you purchase 4″ and I’ll note this. They also have Mega Deals where where you have to buy 10 to get the instant savings. When reading my deals, if it says “$0.50 each after coupon” that means you only have to buy one to get the $0.50 price. I’ll put “wyb 2″ or “wyb 10″ if you have to purchase a certain amount. This week no, though, to answer your question!

When you have b1g1 at marsh do you have to get both or can you get just one at half price?

Brandy, You have to buy 2 at Marsh. Kroger is the only store I know of in this area that marks them at 50% off. At Marsh, one is full price and the other is marked at $0.

Can you direct me to anything on Marsh’s website about the Scan Right Guarantee? I busted that out at a Marsh tonight and everyone insisted that they’d never heard anything about it. Is there anything official I can point to?

Jane, I would love to, but it’s not on their website. I sent an email to see if this is a nationwide policy or varies by store, because I know this is the policy for the three Marsh stores in my area. They actually told me.

Jane, I just got a confirmation from Marsh. This was their reply:

Marsh does have a scan guarantee: If the scanning price is different than the shelf price, the customer receives the first item free. If there are additional items, you get the difference for the others. However, the free item has to be authorized by the manager on duty and the manager has the authority to determine if the claim is valid. If a price error is found, the customer should get the item for free and the correct price will get posted on the shelf. After a price correction is posted, we would not offer the item for free.

Great–thank you! I wish I’d seen this post last week, when I bought my turkey that was ringing up for almost 2x the sale price. :)
