I just wanted to challenge you to try and call or email Totsy for support. I called them the first time I ordered, and my order took more than two months to arrive, and never received a call back. I called 6 times and emailed four times. Then, and don’t ask me why, I ordered again. Again, I had a problem with my order and never received any response to my questions for help. Eight emails and a dozen phone calls. I am writing this to anyone who mentions Totsy on their blogs, because CLEARLY they do not have any regard for their customers.
I want to say that I have ordered from Zulily, hautelook, Rue-la-la, and many other sites. Totsy has been my ONLY negative experience.

Marise, that’s horrible. I’m starting to get some concerns about them myself, as I also have tried to contact them and I don’t hear a thing. They have such great deals sometimes though. I think it depends on the deal on if it’s worth the hassle.

Beth,
I saw in our ShopLocal newspaper insert that you could buy discounted tickets to the Broad Ripple art fair to be held on May 19 and 20. However, it did not state where to buy them ….it just said that they would be released each Sunday at 12:01. Thanks for your help. Wilma Puckett

Wilma, sorry about that. It was an addition to the article in the week before. They are on the Broadripple Art Fair Website, but the direct link is here: http://www.showclix.com/event/55442/tag/Website2012.

you advertised, $5.00 tickets to Broad Ripple Arts Fair and I went to that site, there were tons of messages from people like me looking for the tickets, and no where to be found. I looked on this site too, and did not find them.

Karen, the $5 tickets were released in March. They increase in price each week. This week, they were $7. The tickets are released on Sunday at 12:01 AM and only a limited number are available. When they are gone, they are gone and you have to try again the next week. The first week, tickets sold out by noon. The 2nd week the sold out by 10 AM. This week they sold out even earlier, so my guess is that they were gone by the time you got there. Unfortunately, it appears some people are getting on early and buying the tickets in bulk for classes. I’m not sure if the Broad Ripple Art Fair is going to fix this or limit the number of discount tickets each person can buy, but they are being bought up all at once. I apologize for this and encourage you to contact them to request they limit the number of tickets per person so others can get the great deal too.

Beth, I was online on the Broadripple Arts Center Site from 12 to 12:30 a.m. there were no tickets at $5 for sale. none.

9 Karen April 8, 2012 at 9:02 PM

I will call the Arts Center tomorrow and speak to them directly, there were no reduced price or $7 tickets for sale.

Karen, I’m so sorry. I hate being a middle man and not having full information for you. I didn’t realize when I was told about the deal that it would be this much trouble. I was just told that the prices appear normal and you don’t see the discount until you get them into your cart. The discount appears in the total column just above the checkout button on the right-hand side. Again, I’m repeating what the Indianapolis Art Center told me. I hope this helps you.

Thank You Beth, I will call them tomorrow. I did go so far as to order now, but the price remained the same … I did not however give my credit info as the price did not appear to be reduced. I will call them. Thank you.

I called the Art Center today, they said yes the process is confusing. I was extremely unsatifsfied with that answer. I won’t purchase any tickets from them. I will go to Talbot Street instead.

Karen, thank you for the update. It’s unfortunate that they understand the process is confusing, yet aren’t fixing it. You’d think they’d make some changes to make sure it’s as seamless and as easy for customers as possible. I’ve been fielding questions from tons of readers like you, who are frustrated and it hasn’t been fun on my end. I can’t imagine how many calls, emails, and comments they are fielding, so by making the process easier, it would also make things easier on them. Some of the readers contacting me have not been so nice about it, so thank you for sticking with me through this while I got answers. Sorry the experience was not so great.

Beth, I thank you for letting us know about the information and you are blameless in this, the Art Center on the other hand, appeared to just really not care, I thought, that people unfamiliar with their hidden discount system couldn’t find tickets with discounts. It is their customer service which needs to improve. Thanks again for answering all the questions. Karen
