Thanks to Becky Meredith of for submitting this holiday tradition to the 25 Days of Christmas series.
Note from Beth: I absolutely love this tradition, not only as a way to connect with your children, their friend, and your grandkids, but also as a way to get together tasty gift baskets to deliver to neighbors, friends, and those who could use a little Christmas joy.
I started a tradition when a teen of making cookies for gifts. When my kids were born we started annual Cookie Bakes involving their friends and making gift boxes to pass out. Now, that they are grown and I have Grandkids, this has become an Annual Mimi’s Cookie Bake. I print off recipes and we set all all the ingredients then the kids break off into teams and have to get everything together and are responsible for their cookie. My 15 year old granddaughter refuses to let this tradition stop. I feel they will be doing this long after I am gone!
About the Author: I am a Mom/ Mini and Wife and own my own business that gives me the flexibility to be with my family as much as I want. I have always enjoyed baking.
