Giveaway Contest | New Tide Pods

in Contests, Giveaways

I hate doing laundry.  Of all the daily chores, it has to be one of the worst.  With three active little kids, I look at each piece of clothing before I put it into the washer and debate on if it will really come out clean. Of course I’ve tried all the tricks, but there are somethings that can’t be saved.

My son can’t eat without getting food all over his outfit and he can’t play outside without coming in looking like he may have rolled in mud.  My younger daughter thinks that leggings are a daily must-wear and I often catch her playing in the sandbox and grass in one of her many white pairs.

I can’t tell you how many pair of white leggings have had to move on because of black knees, often with holes worn in them.  This weekend was no different.  Izy had managed to find and dirty the knees of three pairs of white leggings – dirt, grass stains, and even red marker.  I looked at each one sadly as I dropped it into the washer, knowing they were her favorite and the stains would probably still be there when they came out.

I dropped two Tide Pods in just to be safe, crossed my fingers, and started the washer on cold.  Shockingly enough, they came out clean!

Innovation that Improves Daily Life from P&G:

  • Get Small: Tide Pods offer the power of Tide in the palm of your hand, giving you the proper dose each time you do laundry. They are compacted to use less water than traditional detergents. Tide Pods packages also weigh approximately 50% less than comparable packages of liquid detergent – making them much easier to carry and use!
  • Get Multi: Tide Pods’ new, patented three chamber design helps to separate such ingredients as hard water modifiers, stain fighters, perfume and whitener so that they remain stable and potent and mix only in wash water. This allows the Tide Pods to deliver a deep-down clean in a range of conditions.
  • Get Cold: 40% of Americans do their laundry in cold water more often than not in an effort to save time and money. In response to this, Tide Pods are made with a new, best-in-class film that dissolves and works effectively in all water temperatures – even in very cold water

Though June 2012, P&G will be featured in the Good Housekeeping sweepstakes.  You’ll have an opportunity to win one of 50 P&G product baskets each month, so enter for your chance to win, plus read on for a special In Good Cents sweepstakes.

My biggest laundry challange is the stains I get on the clothes from my dogs jumping on me with their dirty outside paws.

2 Tanya March 28, 2012 at 1:48 PM

My biggest challenge is getting our socks white again. Once they’ve been worn a few times, I just can’t get them white again. I’ve used bleach and that made them worse! The stains just turned darker.

3 Alisa March 28, 2012 at 1:58 PM

My biggest laundry challenge is getting missed stains out. I hardly ever remember to pre-treat clothes, so often find the stains when it is too late.

My biggest challenge is getting my hubby’s work clothes clean. He works in manufacturing and production, and does you name it. He always comes home with grease, oil, and I couldn’t tell you what.

Thanks for the giveaway!

14 Thabal March 29, 2012 at 4:55 PM

This will sound odd, but I live in an apartment. So getting quarters for laundry is such a hassle. They run out so very quickly.

15 Sarah March 29, 2012 at 5:31 PM

My biggest laundry challenge is that both my husband and I work a lot of hours at a restaurant, he’s a fry cook, meaning he comes home in his BLACK uniform covered in flour, and I am a server meaning I come home in my BLACK uniform covered in all kinds of food and it shows, after work, we are both so exhausted, its all we can do to get our clothes in the washing machine, we take turns staying up to put the clothes in the dryer. Did I mention we have a 4 year old boy that has recently discovered the fun of playing in dirt?

26 Susan April 3, 2012 at 2:03 PM

3 kids who wipe their hands, their noses, their mouths on their clothing. And then run around outside and fall down to add in some grass stains. And, hey, let’s throw on some sidewalk chalk and markers onto that nice, brand-new shirt. That’s my biggest laundry challenge. My children.

48 Nicole Brusich April 3, 2012 at 10:27 PM

I have to do laundry at the laundry mat so my biggest challenge is lugging all my clothes down the stairs to the car, into the laundry mat and still having to carry around a giant bottle of detergent. I always buy larger quantities because I love to save $$$ but its a heavy savings :)

49 Renee April 3, 2012 at 10:34 PM

Keeping the whites white!

50 Monica April 3, 2012 at 10:41 PM

53 Jamie April 3, 2012 at 11:02 PM

My biggest laundry challenge is just keeping up…I can usually get the clothes washed and dried, but getting them folded/hung up and put away is a big challenge. Also, if I don’t do at least 1 load everyday, it seems like the laundry hasn’t been done for a week.

54 Tracy Smith April 3, 2012 at 11:14 PM

Folding them and putting them away

55 monica April 3, 2012 at 11:17 PM

My biggest laundry challenge is using the right detergent for each person. We use 3-4 different scents/unscented/ with stain remover/without depending on which persons clothes I am washing.

56 Monica April 3, 2012 at 11:43 PM

There is always laundry to do. I love the concept of just throwing the tide pod in washer and moving on with my day!!!
