The first time I walked into my friend’s home what I noticed wasn’t the fact that her house wasn’t perfect or that there were toys scattered everywhere. It was her walls. Instead of typical framed photos, artwork, and other decorations typically seen on walls, hers were covered (every inch) with huge photos of her family.
This went against everything I was raised to believe (which was that photos bigger than 8×10 are just too large). There were professional family portraits, candid photos take at great moments, and even photos of their dog. The were on every wall – above the dining room table, up the stairway, above the fireplace. It was absolutley the most display I had ever seen.
Can you tell I’m totally envious? Each room of her home was filled with memories of her engagement, her children as babies, first steps, and family fun. It just made the entire house fell welcoming and it made her family seem strong.
I loved it.

I love this idea. I have some larger than 8×10 photos on display and have even created some large font prints of our family last name for a wall display.
I love pictures of my two children. Especially when my 5 year old boy is hugging his little sister who is 2. :)
My favorite is a close up of my daughter Delanie laughing when she was 2.
So hard to chose which one I would go with…maybe the one my husband took of the fishing pier in Ocean Grove….the colors are amazing.
