As my daughter tells me practically daily, “You can NEVER have too many clothes!” I beg to differ because SHE wasn’t the one packing and unpacking them with our recent move, and she isn’t the one washing them either. But when it comes to Christian apparel, I do tend to agree with that statement. You CAN not have too many clothes that share your faith without  saying a word.

Kerusso is an amazing Christian Apparel Company and they have  SO many wonderful things, I can’t stay off the site! Even my husband who isn’t exactly the type to wear Christian clothing because it doesn’t fit his ‘style’, likes the items that Kerusso has to offer. And I have to say out of everyone in the house he is the pickiest when it comes to clothing so for him that is a HUGE compliment.

The topic of print quality comes up in our house quite often. You see, my husband is a supervisor at one of the worlds largest screenprinting companies. So although YOU may not notice the little errors that may be on the very shirt you are wearing now, my husband could find it in about 2 seconds flat. But that’s his job, so that’s what he does, ALL THE TIME!!!! If you know ANYONE who is passionate about their jobs, then you also know at times, it can be annoying… in a good way… but annoying. For example, a simple quick Wal-Mart  trip can turn into an hour long dissection of the print quality on the clothing racks.

So needless to say, the quality of the print on our Kerusso t-shirts were scrutinized by my husband the very second we received them. And THEY PASSED his inspection!!!! Not many things do, so to the untrained eye they look GREAT!! But even the trained eye approved of them too, so I give Kerrusso 5 stars for passing my husbands intense examination!

The style Kerusso uses to design their products looks like anything you could find at your local Wal-Mart or Macy’s. The selection they have is pretty similar too; hats, hoodies, t-shirts, guitar straps,  jewelry, accessories and yes EVEN Barbie clothes!!! I honestly have not seen any other Christian apparel that comes close to matching today’s style with a Christ centered message, like Kerusso does.

So many times we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season that we often forget the purpose of it. It’s like we are having a birthday party and not inviting the birthday boy to be a part of the party. The Kerusso items that our family has is a nice reminder that we should not only be having a Christ centered CHRISTmas but also live that way each and every day. So that in itself makes this the PERFECT gift for ANYONE in your life.

Kerusso is listed under Gifts for Everyone & Apparel in the Season of Giving Holiday Gift Guide.

About Kerusso: Over the past 24 years Kerusso has become the premier producer of Christian-themed apparel. In 1998 Kerusso began introducing other products such as: jewelry, gifts and accessories. Today the Kerusso campus occupies 10 acres which is home to over 65,000 square feet of manufacturing, and office space.

Kerusso has great gifts for: Everyone from picky teens to grandma!

We faithfully read and share the beautiful advent guide that our church distributes. We began yesterday evening focusing on Jesus as the Light–wonderful!

i remind my children that the holiday isn’t about gifts, but about family and togetherness. we should give during the holidays, but to other people, those who aren’t as fortunate, or even as friendly as we’d like them to be. everyone travels a different road. i try to remind my kids to love, and help, everyone equally.

On Christmas morning, before we do anything we read the story of Jesus’s birth from the book of Luke in the Bible, I also bake a Birthday cake for Jesus as a simple way to keep our perspective on the true meaning of Christmas.

By cherishing the family that makes it a home. we keep the spirit of Christmas alive by remembering a very special birth and the wonderous gift that birth gave to the world.

Instead of focusing on Santa & presents, we remind the boys that Jesus is the real reason we celebrate. We set-up the nativity scene & read the real Christmas story. We read it every year when I was growing up & my brothers & I could recite it word for word. I hope someday that my boys will too!!!!

We read Advent stories by Arnold Ytreeide each year and have participated in our community live nativity many years.

Living as a single mother and having shared parenting of my daughter makes it more difficult to keep the true meaning of Christmas. This year my daughter will be with her father for Christmas Eve and Christmas so my parents and I are going to attend both of our Church services. Going forward I’m starting a new tradition with my daughter and we will be attending church on Christmas Eve and Day. We are going to go to a local hospital, fire station/police station and give them doughnuts to say thank you for what they do. This year starts a new meaning on traditions for my family because, the beginning of 2011 I became a born again Christian so this year Christmas has a completely different meaning then years past. It’s not about the gifts under the tree it’s about the birth of Jesus. My daughter and I will spend time discussing this and giving to others. As well we will be enjoying time with family and remember why we are celebrating the day to begin with! :)

All decorations we purchase are about Christ instead of santa.

12 Ashley H. November 30, 2011 at 11:26 AM

We sing happy birthday to Jesus every year.

13 Kaylan November 30, 2011 at 1:17 PM

I am working on that this year! I have an advent idea that I’m going to try.

One of the best things for me to keep the Christmas spirit in my heart is to play Christmas music…very little expresses love and beauty as well as music can!

16 Kelly D December 2, 2011 at 2:16 PM

I always remind my kids that we celebrate Christmas because it is Jesus’ birthday.
