Hello everyone. This is Susan (Beth’s Mom) and I am sending my dilemma out to all of you in hopes of finding a good, FRUGAL solution.
I am in charge of collecting money and buying Coffee, Creamer, Filters etc for the department I work in. With the price of coffee and the number of employees on the rise, I am finding it hard to keep up.
We are a little picky about our coffee (almost always drink Folgers – Strength #2 or 3) I last bought at Sams Club -$14.88 for 48 oz canister, but usually buy Walmart – $9-$10 for 33.9 oz. canister. The 25 cent off coupons help a little but not as much as I need them to.
We use one of the 33.9 oz canisters per week. I am from Terre Haute, IN, but do make frequent trips to Indianapolis.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good deals on coffee, where I could buy in bulk at a discount, etc?
Thanks for your help in advance
Susan

For our office, we buy Folgers/Carnation Creamer/Filters at BJ’s Wholesale Club, they take manufacturers coupons and frequently mail coupons.
I research coffee prices on a regular basis. Over the last few months prices have increased dramatically!! I find Walmart to have the best coffee prices around. When paired with coupons, it makes a great deal! Keep your eyes out, because Folgers frequently has $1.00 of coupons on any size. Use all your coupon resource sites and like them on facebook.
I was at Costco today in Indianapolis. $12.49 for 3 pounds of classic folgers. I’ve also found that the house brand of Costco coffee is very good. You’d have to have another reason to have a membership for this to work out, but by my math that is about $40 less per year.
Not sure if this will be a suitable substitute, but recently I purchased the store brand french roast from Marsh and thought it tasted similar to Folgers. Of course this is an Indy grocery chain so you’d have to get it while in town.
Hope this helps!
