With all the tomatoes right now, here is a salsa recipe to use.

  • 5 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cans Ortega diced chilies
  • 1 small can diced jalapenos
  • 1 bunch green onion, diced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, diced
  • 4 cans tomato sauce
  • 1/3 c oil

1.   Mix all ingredients together.

2. Enjoy with taco chips.

Add more or less jalapenos, depending on how hot you like your Salsa.

As someone raised in New Mexico (I’m a Hoosier transplant), I am thankful to see green chiles in your salsa recipe. Sounds delicious! Even better, buy fresh (they are called Anaheims here), blister under your broiler or on the grill, slide off the skin and chop. Makes amazing salsa and is perhaps a bit cheaper. :)

My mom posted this recipe, but I’m a green chili addict! I LOVE spicy foods.
