For day that are too hot, rainy days, and any other day, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is the perfect place to explorer for everyone in your family.   Little ones can stick their hands in sand and water in Playscape, while older children (and adults) can try their hand at climbing a rock wall in Science Works.

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis: Take Me There Egypt

Ady & my niece, Emma, (and my Mom, though don't tell her I posted this!) taking flight in the Take Me There Egypt Exhibit.

Even when you’ve been there a million times before, it’s still a place to head, because it changes all the time by adding new and/or temporary exhibits, scheduling theater performances, offering free events throughout the day, and more!   It sees there is always something new when we visit.

Must-See Attraction: National Geographic Treasures of the Earth (Special Summer Exhibit, Ends June 25, 2011)

Tips & Recommendations for The Whole Family:

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis: Playscape

Izy exploring the sand (and wearing down) on her 1st birthday in the Playscape Exhibit.

Babies, Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers: Bring a stroller.   The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is very stroller friendly and the stroller can go most places within the   museum, so you won’t be taking the children in and out at each exhibit.   Plus, make sure to take small ones to Playscape!

Older Kids & Adults: Head downstairs to pick up FREE Lilly Theater and/or SpaceQuest Planetarium tickets to watch fun, educational shows.   Members can reserve tickets up to 48 hours in advance online.

What We Love Most: Lilly Theater!   We love watching The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis version of popular classic tales, favorites, and more.   They are perfect for younger children, since they are typically a lot shorter than usual plays.   And, the opening announcements crack us up every time, which tell the kids to make sure their adults to turn off their toys and to take their adults out of the room if they get too noisy, along with many more important, hysterical reminders.

Hey Beth!

Is there a way for me to find out if I’ve already signed-up for a give-away. I’ve been having trouble getting on the In Good Cents website & even applying for give-aways…my web browser keeps closing on me. Help!

In theory, it shouldn’t let you sign up twice. I would check for you, but I’m not home until friday.

Jacque, I’m not sure why you are getting that error. The giveaway ended yesterday, so you shouldn’t be able to enter at all today. Sorry about that! I’ll look into it.
