- Freecycle: Have you ever checked out Freecycle on Yahoo Groups? From the search page type in Freecycle and your city and join the group. It is a great place to give away things you don’t need and also a great place to get items that others are giving away. I put a post on Terre Haute Freecycle, that I wanted a Bread Machine, and within 24 hours I had a new machine that a nice lady had gotten as a gift and had never used. I also gave away several items when I moved and someone just came by and picked them up. Saved me a trip to the Goodwill.

- Craft ideas: Joann.com has many Forth of July craft ideas. (Which can doulbe as Memorial day crafts and Americana decor also. This little side table looks pretty easy to make and I believe I saw these in a brown stain at Walmart and Target in the patio furniture that would work perfect. I think I would use a navy, darker red and off white paint.
