My kids love pizza. In fact, when my youngest daughter turned two and we asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said, “Pizza.” Okay, well, she really said, “A llama, a goat, a kitty-cat, and a pizza,”, but pizza was the only part of that request that we seriously considered.
Going out for pizza can get expensive for a family of four (and a half), since it’s the one food my kids actually inhale! In the end, we never spend under $20 for the standard stuff, so don’t get me started on the gourmet pizzas.
And then I saw this…
The thought of spinach on a pizza always seems wrong to me, until my kids (yes, my kids) convinced me to try it. Now it’s our all-time favorite. When I got my coupon from Freschetta, I was excited about free pizza. But, when I saw the Roasted Garlic & Spinach Freschetta FlatBread pizza, I got more exited about actually trying the pizza.
My daughters and I had a “Pizza Picnic” on our patio tonight and put it to the test. I got thumbs up from all of us. Plus it was only $5.99 at our local Meijer, which is much more affordable than restaurant pizza, but just as good.
The only thing that would have made it better would have been some chicken, which we talked about adding next time!
You can try it too with this $1/1 Freschetta Pizza printable coupon or wait until tomorrow! I’m going to share a couple of my FREE pizza coupons in a giveaway. You’ll have to come back to find out how to enter to win.
