Have you been involved in a pancake breakfast? I have. Each year, our church hosts a Christmas pancake breakfast for the children in preschool. The year before last was the first year anyone in our family was eligible to attend, so I got involved. Planning and organizing a breakfast like this for so many people when it’s for a non-profit organization is a blast and so rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work!
With our limited budget, we reached out to so many local resources, hoping to get some help making the breakfast perfect for the children. It’s not just about pancakes. You need sides, beverages, servers, tables, and so much more! It can get a bit crazy.
Bisquick is stepping up to help organizations support their community through a pancake breakfast through Bisquick’s Pancake Nation.
There are so many resources available to help you plan your event from games to signs, and even a calculator to help you figure out how many pancakes you’ll need. Or you can find one in your community!
I’m pretty sure my favorite part, through, is the ability to apply for a $250 grant through Bisquick’s Pancake Nation to help with costs, which can accumulate quickly, even when you’re frugal and have so many amazing community resources helping. This help you have more to give in the end and that’s what really matters.
To help Bisquick announce their newest venture – Bisquick’s Pancake Nation, Bisquick has kindly offered me a chance to give one of you a wonderful prize to get you in the mood for your own pancake breakfast!

Our church has a huge outreach program, where we bring in 3-4 van loads of kids for Sunday mornings. Four Sunday School Classes rotate the cooking of the breakfast. When it is our class’s turn, our family’s go-to item is pancakes. They are easy to make (once the grill is fired up) and everyone likes them. This past Sunday, we cooked 2 boxes of pancake mix, and ended up running out before we were done. We had about 140 that morning instead of the usual 110 or so. Next time we will have LOTS of mix on hand!
We do pancake breakfasts with the youth at our church and I’m the one responsible for shopping and organizing the cooking

I would do one for the Battered Women & Children’s home. With our economy the way it is,all of the jobless and home foreclosures there has been a rise in domestic violence. My children and I always do charity with together.

I try to attend the monthly pancakes breakfasts that the local Amvets has in my area. I’ve never actually been involved in one since high school though.

My husband is a youth pastor and is currently raising money for a youth mission trip this summer. Doing a pancake breakfast would be a great way to get the kids involved and raise money at the same time!

We could do one to support youth missions in our church.
Being a teacher our school does several things for the students!
:) neat giveaway.
I’d love to do a pancake breakfast with the staff at work for the families of the patients! (Clarian North Medical Center). One less meal to purchase, one less thing to worry about as their loved one is recovering. We could even charge staff a very minimal fee (free to families) to help support our social work department who has a very very very small budget, but strives to provide for the patients and families in the way of gas cards, clothing, toiletries, and basic necessities during their stay at the hospital.
I am also an email subscriber! Thanks for all you do!
My kids elementary school always does a pancake breakfast with Santa before Christmas break. This is free to all parents and children, along with a free photo with Santa. Being a parent of 6 children has made it more difficult for me to volunteer as much as I use to. Youngest will be two by the next pancake breakfast so hoping to get back into volunteering more.

Our local Lions club does a pancake and sausage breakfast each year to provide scholarships to local high schoolers. They also offer scholarships to participate in the International Youth Exchange program run by Lions International. It is a fun day for everyone and held at the local high school.
