So this is how Groupon works… Each day Groupon offers you a different deal on something fun to do at an unbeatable price. You can look at in your city. However, you can also check out others, so if you are going on vacation, you may want to watch your destination city to save money on your trip. There is a required amount of people that must sign up for each deal, because Groupon is offering amazing group discounts. If that number is met, you get your deal and will be charged. If not, you unfortunately have to wait for a new deal to come along, but you will not be charged.
Once you get your e-mail, follow the directions on it to get your discount. You do not have to use your Groupon on a particular date, however watch the expiration date on your Groupon items. Many expire.
