Kids love to get messy and this is a meal they get to get messy eating (if done right).

2 lbs Ground Beef
1 Medium Onion, Chopped
1/2 Small Green Pepper, Chopped
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 TBSP Mustard
1/2 Cup Barbecue Sauce
2 TBSP Ketchup

Brown meat, green pepper, and onion together in a skillet until cooked thoroughly and drain. Add remaining ingredients to skillet and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool. Place in freezer baggies. Double this recipe easily to make multiple meals at once.

For a Sloppy Joe Meal Kit, place meat in one baggie and buns in another, then place both smaller bags in a large bag to freeze the entire kit together.

Thaw meat in refrigerator and buns at room tempature. Heat in microwave or in skillet on the stovetop and serve.

Freezer Tip: Place in a freezer bag for long term storage and thaw, then reheat to serve.

Change It-Up: Try ground venison, ground turkey, or your favorite meat for a new flavor.

Round 2 Meal: Mix left-overs with Mac & Cheese or make Chili!
