I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I LOVE cooking with my crock pot. Not only does it allow me to throw a ton of food in and forget about it until dinner time, but it also allows me to make enough to freeze for a later date! Below is a simple recipe for barbeque chicken that is delicious!
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cider vinegar
1 tsp red hot pepper flakes (optional, add spicy flavor)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cider vinegar
1 tsp red hot pepper flakes (optional, add spicy flavor)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Add all ingredients into the slow-cooker and mix well. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 5-8 hours. Make sure chicken is cooked thoroughly. You can either serve this meal as chicken breasts or shred it and hen toss is back in the slow-cooker to coat it in the sauce. Serve shredded chicken on sandwich buns.
