I love to eat out! But, the difference in our weekly budget when we opt to stay in and cook proves that it’s not the best financial decision. Now, I know for some of you, this will be hard, but cooking at home can save you large sums of money. The average restaurant bill can cost $5-$15 a person (and can go a lot higher), but the average meal can cost $5-$15 for the entire family.
Remember, it doesn’t have to be extravagant and cooked from scratch. Just aim for healthy and delicious. And don’t be afraid to throw a frozen pizza in the oven or make hot dogs one night when you don’t feel like cooking. We can’t all be Martha Stewart! If you aren’t a good cook, it’s never too late to start learning.
