Tuesday's Tip 31: Shop Around

The most common shopping mistake I hear is, “I shop at …” fill in the blank with your favorite store. While this may be easiest for you and the store appreciates it, it’s not in your best interest financially. Stores may have great sales often, but they don’t have the best deals every week.

Check all of the sale ads in your area and go to the store that has what you want or need least expensive, instead of hitting the same store every week. While your favorite store may have the best deals one week, they may have the worst deals the next week.

Some of my readers check my blog posts and visit every store to get the best deals. While I absolutely envy them for having the patience, I don’t, so I’m not saying visit 7 stores in one day (unless that’s something you can do). However, pick 1 or 2 that have the best deals and shop away.
