First, you have your coupon box or holder that holds all your coupons. As you create your shopping list, move the coupons you plan to use into one envelope for each store or somewhere special, so you won’t have to hunt for them. As you walk through the store, whenever you grab an item off of the shelves that you know you have a coupon for, move that coupon to your wallet or back pocket, so you simply have to grab them all out and hand them to the cashier. Usually there will be a few items that are either sold out or not on sale as you expected. Moving your coupons around as you shop will help you save time, since you won’t have to sort through your coupons as you pick up items or while the cashier is waiting.

My trick is that I give my husband the coupons to hold when I decide to use each one. Then they stay in a nice neat pile instead of crammed into my pocket. Anther thing I do is check out separately if I have a big list of coupon items. That is the only way I can clearly see if I get all the right sale prices and all the coupons ring up correctly.
Oh good idea! Unfortunately, I leave my husband alone, because he always does massive damage to my budget.
I stick the ones I plan to use as I pick up items in the front of my coupons carrier. I have a seperate area for them.
