Tuesday's Tip 16: Stock-Up

by Beth Montgomery on January 1, 2009

in Frugal Series, Tips & Basics

When a product is on sale for an amazing deal, stock up! Just be sure to check the expiration date beforehand, so you don’t stock up on something that you won’t be able to use before it goes bad. Don’t forget, you can always donate FREE and cheap products or products about to expire!
Freeze vegetables and meat to cook in stews or other meals later. Freeze fruit to use in pancakes, muffins, and breads later. Only freeze fruits and vegetables you plan to cook in a meal. They come out of the freezer slightly mushy, so you won’t want to eat them raw. You can even freeze products like liquid coffee creamer!
