Tuesday's Tip 12: Try Something New

Many shoppers reach for the same old thing every time they go to the store. Maybe it’s comforting or you know for a fact it’s a good brand, but I recommend being adventurous. Instead of grabbing the same old trusted brand, try something new. Every time I go to the store, I buy fruit that’s on sale. The other day, I bought star fruit, which I’d never had and didn’t have a clue how to serve, but it turned out to be delicious. Some of my adventurers have been failures, but we’ve found many less expensive dishes by buying items that are a good deal, rather than than the same old thing. Trying something new can be the best part of being frugal!

What new things have you tried because they were on sale or cheap? Did you enjoy them? Why or why not?
